1. What is a domain name?
Domain names are the familiar, easy to remember names for computers on the Internet (such as Register domain names with Registration-Domain-Name.net). Please visit and complete a Registrar Transfer document for authorization to change registrars. This process will not interrupt or affect your current registration. You will be charged and credited for one "1" year of registration (starting at $15 based upon the domain extension). 8. Someone else has registered my company's name as their domain name. What is the process for resolving my complaint?
All registrars follow a uniform dispute resolution policy. Under that policy, disputes over entitlement to a domain name registration are ordinarily resolved by court litigation between the parties claiming rights to the registration. Once the court rules who is entitled to the registration, the registrar will implement that ruling. In disputes arising from registrations allegedly made abusively (such as "cybersquatting" and cyberpiracy"), the uniform policy provides an expedited administrative procedure to allow the dispute to be resolved without the cost and delays often encountered in court litigation. In these cases, you can invoke the administrative procedure by filing a complaint with one of the dispute resolution service providers.

13. What is .biz?
.biz is dedicated exclusively to the business community. In addition to providing businesses with an enhanced presence on the web, the .biz database platform will soon be able to provide services that more efficiently facilitate commerce across the Internet.
14. Who can register a .biz domain name? Are there any restrictions?
Anyone can register a .biz domain name, however, there are restrictions. The .biz domain can only be used for a "bona fide business or commerical use". A bona fide business use is one of the following:
- to exchange goods, services, or property of any kind;
- in the ordinary course of trade or business;
- or to facilitate (i) the exchange of goods, services, information, or property of any kind; or, (ii) the ordinary course of trade or business
Registering a .biz domain name solely for the purposes of (1) selling, trading or leasing the domain name for compensation, or (2) the unsolicited offering to sell, trade or lease the domain name for compensation does not constitute a "bona fide business or commercial use" of that domain name.
For illustration purposes, the following do not constitute a "bona fide business or commercial use" of a domain name:
- using or intending to use the domain name exclusively for personal, noncommercial purposes;
- or using or intending to use the domain name exclusively for the expression of noncommercial ideas (i.e., registering abcsucks.biz exclusively to criticize or otherwise express an opinion on the products or services of ABC company, with no other intended business or commercial purpose).
